Single carton size: counted by stacking cartons in the best orientation. Mixed sizes: estimated from volume × loading efficiency. Typical inside dimensions and payloads; check with your carrier, and remember road weight limits are often lower.

How it works

Volume per carton = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 1,000,000 m³. Air chargeable weight is the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight (cm³ ÷ 6000, or ÷ 5000 for most couriers). Sea LCL is charged per revenue ton: the higher of cubic metres and metric tonnes. With one carton size, the calculator tries all six orientations (two if the cartons must stay upright) and counts how many fit in neat rows, then applies the container's typical payload. With several sizes it estimates from total volume and the loading efficiency you choose. Real loads depend on pallets, door clearance and stacking limits.
